We’ll all, at one point or another, be presenting on topics or ideas at certain points in our lives.  Especially if we want to be successful entrepreneurs.  Sometimes, million dollar deals will come down to one presentation, so developing the right presentation skills is imperative.  One of the most crucial elements to giving a successful presentation, is the rehearsal aspect of it.

Rehearsing your presentation is something that can pay off HUGE during the actual presentation.  Too many times, we here folks say, “I don’t want I to seemed rehears or canned, so I’m going to wing it!”  This is the worst thing you can do.  This is the quickest way to delivering mediocre content, stumbling on your words, and bombing the presentation.  Instead, rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse some more.

Here are some quick tips on how to properly rehearse for a killer presentation:

  1. Read the presentation over and over until it is memorized
  2. Practice in front of a mirror
  3. Practice in from of a camera and record yourself, then watch it later to study what you should improve
  4. Use notecards with pieces of information as small reminders just in case you need them.
  5. Think about potential questions from your audience and answer those in your presentation

Make sure you know your material before going into the presentation in and out.  Review it, write it down, and practice it over and over.  The better you know your material, the better you will be with the presentation.

Also, more often than not, there will be questions at the end.  A good way to prepare for this is to anticipate what questions may come in from the audience, write them down, and try to answer them in the presentation.  Another strategy is that you could leave them out intentionally and prepare for them in the Q and Q period.  Either way, making sure you’re ready for the questions will prepare you for success.

As with anything else, the more you rehearse, the better you’ll be.  Soon, you’ll be regarded as a phenomenal presenter and it will be like a second nature to you.  For more wisdom, tips, and advice, check out our book, The Millionaire Mentor on Amazon!
